I know that for me the challenge comes in when I try to remember that not everyone talk's about them as the firefly characters. When I am at the table I refer to them as "I am activating Inara" or "So Zoe is passing the AP to Mal.". It's so ingrained at this point that what your hearing in the show's is my catching myself and trying to correct for the listeners. I do this based on feedback that not everyone knows who that Inara and Sierra are the same character.

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 90 – Table Flipping Competition

Hi Guys, I really enjoy the podcast. As a result, I want to pass along some advice. As someone who enjoys WWX and "firefly", I'm absolutely sick to death of hearing the Wayward Eight referred to by the "firefly" character they are based on. I get it. I get there is a connection. But using the "firefly" names just isn't helpful. Please stop.

Anyway, that's my thoughts. Keep up the good work.

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 88 – Unscheduled Release….

Thanks Calvin!!!

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 88 – Unscheduled Release….

i love the pod casts guys i want you to know this. i listen to them as soon as i see they come available i want you to know that also..

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 85 – Gripe and Whine

I just found out about that myself. Just wanted to pop in and let you know there's at least 3 listeners! I started listening to this podcast just before you started the developer's corner series and I have to say I'm really enjoying it! As I miniatures gamer, I often wondered at how difficult it would be to create a new and fun game. Keep up the great work, love the developer's corner segment, and I dig the WWX coverage.

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 85 – Gripe and Whine

Thanks for having me on, Bill! I will have (at a minimum) my Warrior Nation and some type of union force with me. I still have not decided what I'm bringing to the tournament, so may have some enlightened with me as well. Only thing's I'll certainly be missing is Lawmen as I do not have them. Might be missing some Outlaws depending on how hobby-dedicated I get between now and then.

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 84 – The Falcon has Landed

Listening now, quite enjoying the talk between you and adam on WWX. It's really quite an honor to have been talking alongside your other, more noteworthy, Designer guests Toby and Romeo. It's really interesting to hear each of their views on the board size, and, since I know the future questions, I am stoked to hear their views on the next few segments.
I know they're established and easy to find, but if anyone's interested in the meager offerings BHG has on the open public side, they can find us at: www.bhg-games.com/forums and we can chat up a bit more about what we're doing.
Thanks again, Bill, it was a lot of fun!

Re: Gamers Lounge Special – Creature Caster

I am wondering, if I can put a banner on this website?

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 81 – It got away from me there!

On the powerlevel of the models, I recently found out that we have been playing the "Lethal Hit" rule incorrectly. Apparently the game is not exactly as deadly as John and I have been playing.

I still agree that there is a push for a higher point level. I am interested to see if the growing WWX community embraces it or if there ends up being a split between the company idea (larger with vehicles) and the community (skirmish with characters).

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 81 – It got away from me there!

Good Episode, reading rules is fundamental but both games sounded fairly fun. I agree kill condition wins aren't what I personally enjoy either as you and I have talked about before Fine if there in a game but not all the time. While it sounds like it works as a skirmish the attack values and the powerlevel of the models differently makes me think they are pushing for a larger game size along with default table being 6x4

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 80 – Unboxing

yeah the tournament structure looks interesting. I do like the idea of swappable side boards but right there your looking at 1750 to compete. Again depending on points cost of things not terrible however that looks more like a small warmachine model count than true skirimish

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 80 – Unboxing

Tournaments are targeting 1250. The Adepticon tournament will likely be the first out of the gate and the rumor says it is structures as 750 core (must be taken in every game) and 2 500 point "attachments" that can be swapped game to game. It will be interesting to see how this plays out as its a choice between nearly doubling your posse size (or adding a swarm of hired hands), or bringing in some (3-6) of the faster "mini-vehicles" or 2 of the heavies.

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 80 – Unboxing

see that;s the level i like as well. But I wonder how the mechanics hold up at the low level and what is the actual level they envision for the game. Again I like a lot of the mini;s in the range and may pick some up for proxies. Thomas Edison especially althought I really like the mechanical look of the union. Be interested to see wwx progresses

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 80 – Unboxing

I can understand the holding pattern. I know that my 750 point posse I am starting to learn the game with is only 8 models total, which slots nicely into the skirmish level I prefer. This includes 3 "hired hands", which I do not find too bad since the HH are the "filler" models for scaling up to larger game sizes.

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 80 – Unboxing

Great to hear you again. WWX my main concern with that game is that it is trying to be too many scales at once. I think ability to scale is nice but its a double edge sword. If certain toys are limited at lower points value then people will natural move up the level those toys are available at. which I don't see it being a true skirmish game. That said wouldn't be opposed to trying it out but I fear its going to be starter box games as the skirmish level and the game goes up to warmachine level or small 40k game.

Re: Gamers Lounge Ep. 80 – Unboxing

Great to hear you back.
